Wine Bottle: Product Photography

As a part of an ongoing project I wanted to include imagery that reminds me of time spent with family, for one of these situations I wanted to capture a scenario of drinking wine through product photography. As this isn’t my speciality I got help from my peers and also explored different techniques from youtube videos such as: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N3m3pND-0iY

The final image resulted in several photographs being edited together so I could achieve the correct lighting and background. As the wine bottled had frosted glass it was possible to show the red shining through when using a diffused light behind, however I had to shoot two different lighting set ups on the bottle to give it dimension and have the red show through. This meant the backgrounf I included was present on the image that was focused directly on the wine glass. The two photographs of the bottle were edited together and then cut out so it could be placed on the final background. This is useful as it results in a wine bottle that can also be placed on several different backgrounds if I want to use it for a commercial example instead of a lifestyle approach to the photograph.
